Phosphatidylcholine + Deoxycholic Acid (PCDC) Treatments are intended to reduce and destroy unwanted fat cells. Deoxycholic Acid is a naturally occurring molecule found in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. PCDC destroys the cell membrane when injected into the tissue. The fat cells absorb the medication, becomes temporarily inflamed, and hardened, then are broken down and eliminated by the body’s natural process. It is administered by micro-injections, which are injections into the subcutaneous fat. This treatment is for unwanted fat found in the submental (double chin) and other small areas.

As like other injections, it is better used as a series of shots. Patients are recommended to book 2-4 appointments, 4-6 weeks apart to see the most dramatic results. Each treatment will take 30 minutes to 1 hours and does not require extensive down time. Down time is based on the person and procedure.
